Who we are
ThinkStack Limited (ThinkStack Ltd) is a company registered in Ireland, company number 808910, with its registered office at 51 Bracken Road, Sandyford, Dublin, D18 CV48. We are the data controller for information collected through this site. You can reach us at info@thinkstack.ie or through the contact page.
What we collect
When you send the contact form we collect your name, your email address or phone number, the request you choose, your message, the address of the page you sent it from, the time, and your country (worked out from the request by our hosting provider). We do not store your IP address in the enquiry record. The site does not use advertising trackers. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it (see Cookies and analytics below). The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, to scope and deliver work you ask for, to keep the records a business is required to keep, and to protect the site from abuse (a hidden form field catches automated spam). The legal bases under GDPR are your consent when you tick the box and send the form or accept analytics cookies, the performance of a contract once we agree work, and our legitimate interest in running the business.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, only if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject or make no choice, it does not load, nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, it sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_HK519KD0NR that last up to two years, and records the pages you view, how you reached the site (referring site or campaign link), your device type, browser, screen size and language, an approximate location (city and country, worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not store), and events such as starting or sending the contact form. It does not receive what you type into the form. We use it to see which pages are useful and how many enquiries the site brings in. Google processes this for us as a processor and may transfer it outside the European Economic Area under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google keeps the analytics data for no more than fourteen months. The site remembers your choice in your browser (local storage key ss_consent_v1) so it does not ask on every page. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer; withdrawing deletes the Google Analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within twelve months of receipt. Records connected to work we deliver are kept for as long as the engagement runs and then for the period Irish company and tax law requires, currently six years. To have your enquiry removed sooner, email info@thinkstack.ie with the name and contact detail you used and we will delete it and confirm.
Who sees it
People at ThinkStack who need it to reply to you or do the work. Providers process data on our behalf under contract: Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the enquiry, and Zoho provides the mailbox that receives it (EU data centre). If you accept analytics cookies, Google receives the analytics data described above. Invoicing providers are used only once work is agreed. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, withdraw consent at any time (for analytics, use Cookie settings in the footer), or ask for a copy in a portable form. Email info@thinkstack.ie and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
